Our Heritage UK Exhibition

Yíímiiká has been selected as a participating Textile Artist for the Our Heritage UK Exhibition, taking place at the Royal Greenwich Festival in August 2026. The festival celebrates the cultural heritage and creative contributions of communities across the UK.

The work presented will draw on African-Nigerian textile traditions, exploring how inherited material knowledge continues to speak within contemporary artistic and cultural spaces in Britain. The exhibition positions cloth as both cultural artefact and living practice — a conversation between past and present.
